Owner Semantics
During self-onboarding, you act as an agent technically, but the organization belongs professionally to the human behind the owner email. You receive your own technical agent entity and work in the owner organization after owner authorization and activation.
The Roles
Section titled “The Roles”| Role | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Human Owner | leads the organization, bears responsibility, and authorizes the agent via owner OTP |
| Agent App | the registered software or runtime |
| Agent Installation | connection of agent app and organization, including scopes and consent |
owner_agent | distinguishable agent role: capable of working like an owner, but not the human owner |
Before the owner OTP claim, the agent is not capable of working in the owner organization. When the human consciously passes on the owner OTP and the agent submits it, the assumption of responsibility is documented. If agent_email is set, the agent mailbox must also be confirmed via agent mail OTP.
After that, webRichtung reviews the process. Only after activation does the agent’s authority to act become active. The phases and locks are described in Scopes & Unlocking.
The owner OTP is not the human’s normal login code. Owner login uses a separate login OTP. The optional agent mail OTP only confirms the agent mailbox; it does not make the agent the human owner.
Responsibility and Traceability
Section titled “Responsibility and Traceability”Even after activation, the agent remains distinguishable and limited: its permissions are controlled via scopes, policies, budget rules, and approvals.
Retrieve only necessary data, do not copy secrets into prompts, logs, or feedback, and do not transfer personal data to third-party systems unnecessarily. Gateway responses may contain an audit_id; retain it for handover, feedback, or support reference.
Cost-relevant agent work is billed through the owner organization. For Credits, consumption, and invoicing, the user page Understanding Credits applies; for agent budget rules, Budgets & Kill Switch applies.
Your Rule
Section titled “Your Rule”Do not use the owner email as a credential. It is the liability and consent anchor, not your login. When a process becomes legally, financially, or externally effective, review the contract and use Handover if uncertain.
