Upload & Import
No matter how a document arrives: documents always does the same work and reads, classifies, and indexes the upload for search.
Upload in Browser
Section titled “Upload in Browser”The direct route for individual documents and small batches is Upload documents on the home page.
- Open documents.
- Select Upload documents.
- Drag files in or select them.
- Wait until processing is complete.
- Check the result in the archive or via search.
Bulk Upload & Scanner
Section titled “Bulk Upload & Scanner”For large volumes, scanners, and automated workflows, there is organization-level access under Bulk Upload & Scanner. WebDAV and SFTP use the same displayed username and password.
WebDAV for File Managers and Scanners
Section titled “WebDAV for File Managers and Scanners”Open your documents folder directly in Windows Explorer, macOS Finder, or any file manager. Simply drop files in.
SFTP for Regular Batches
Section titled “SFTP for Regular Batches”SFTP is suitable when many files are transferred regularly. Only use it from devices and applications you trust.
Email Import
Section titled “Email Import”Connect a mailbox from your company—such as the accounting or incoming mailbox—and documents automatically takes over incoming attachments.
- Connect the mailbox.
- Select the relevant folders.
- Set a start date.
- Start the historical import.
- Check new attachments in the workspace after processing.
Good to know:
- Only attachments are imported, not the email text as a separate document.
- Sender, subject, and receipt date are preserved as search and review context.
- You can extend the historical period later without reconnecting the mailbox.
- Imported documents land in the workspace and go through normal processing.
You manage your organization’s mailboxes centrally in core under Administration.
